Get to Know Your Dentists
Dr. Heather Eggenberger
Dr. Heather Eggenberger grew up in Marysville, WA and attended the University of Washington for her college education. She received her bachelor of science degree in Neurobiology and chose to follow in her father’s footsteps by becoming a dentist. Dr. Eggenberger was pleased to accept the offer to attend UW School of Dentistry after comparing it to many other programs. She received her doctorate in 2008, graduating at the top of her class, and received numerous awards by the faculty upon graduation.
To gain additional training beyond dental school, Dr. Eggenberger completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency with the Veterans Affairs in San Antonio, Texas. This highly respected program is ranked in the top tier of such programs and has an emphasis in implant dentistry and complex reconstruction. In addition, she was mentored by specialists in all fields of dentistry.
Dr. Eggenberger has a strong belief that learning is a life-long commitment and she remains active in continuing education and dental study clubs. She especially focuses on remaining up-to-date with the latest product recommendations, materials, and techniques in dentistry. It is important to Dr. Eggenberger that she is providing the best care possible to her patients and that they have a comfortable experience.
In her spare time, Dr. Eggenberger loves spending time with her two children who keep her busy! And together, they love to be outside camping, skiing, seeing new places or spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Apple Xiaorui Zhu
Dr. Apple Xiaorui Zhu is originally from China and was raised as the only child in the family. Prior to moving to the U.S., Dr. Zhu earned a bachelor's in dentistry from Sun Yat-sen University in China, where she practiced as a dentist for a year. She then moved to the U.S. with her husband and attended Boston University's Henry M. Goldman School of Dentistry, earning her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2021. Dr. Zhu graduated with high honors and moved to Seattle with her family upon graduation.
After settling down in the greater Seattle area, Dr. Zhu practiced in Shoreline for three years before joining our practice. Dr. Zhu is experienced in restorative dentistry, oral surgery, emergency dentistry, root canals, pediatric dentistry, Invisalign, etc.
Dr. Zhu always devotes her time to getting to know her patients and treats every patient as if they were family. She dedicates herself to providing exceptional care tailored toward every patient; she is committed to lifelong training to provide the best dental solutions and to improve patient care. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and Seattle King County Dental Society, as well as an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Zhu also commits to hundreds of hours of continuing education every year to equip herself with the most updated technology.
Away from dentistry, Dr. Zhu enjoys spending time with her husband Yao, her son Terry, and their lovely dog (a Miniature Schnauzer) Yazoo as well as traveling, hiking, and cooking.

Candy has been working at Colby Pacific Family Dentistry for almost 14 years. She began in dentistry with her AA degree in dental assisting yet always ended up working in the front office. Her favorite part of working up front is getting to know our patients and making sure they are comfortable and informed about their dental treatment needs! She is married to her "childhood sweetheart" and has 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren. Candy enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and traveling.

Helping patients receive the care they need is a priority for me, from assisting with dental insurance and payment options to everything that goes into having a great experience.
I've been in the dental field for over 25 years, starting as a sterile tech, then a dental assistant, and finally transitioning to the front desk. I have two grown children, 2 amazing grandkids, and one goofy pup! In my time away from work I love gaming, reading sci-fi and fantasy books, hanging out in nature, and most of all, enjoying being with my family.

Darcy has been a dental assistant for 25 years, and the thing most important to her when seeing patients is to make each patient feel as comfortable as she can. In her free time, what she loves most is spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors, riding dirtbikes, trapshooting, and playing sports.

Teryn has been a dental assistant for 20 years, graduating from Lake Washington Technical College in 2005. She loves getting to know her patients! Her favorite thing about being a dental assistant has to be seeing the kids at our office! She also loves animals and camping.

Jill has been a dental assistant for over 25 years. The thing she loves most about her job is building relationships with her patients and creating an environment that makes them feel relaxed and cared for during their dental appointment. Jill's favorite things to do include baking/cooking, spending time with her family, and vacations to tropical beaches.

Krista has been a hygienist for over 20 years and loves helping people achieve and maintain optimal oral health. She also loves nature and animals, especially her Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Katie!
Taylor
Registered Dental Hygienist
Taylor graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2014 with a bachelor's in dental hygiene. She warm-heartedly says she is a "total nerd about teeth" and loves building relationships with her patients. When she's not working, you can find her on vacation with her other half, at a Seahawks game, or going on adventures with her 3 dogs.

Sterilization Technician & Dental Assistant
Elizabeth started at Colby Pacific Family Dentistry in late 2025 and is now considering a future career in dentistry. In her spare time, you can find Elizabeth playing a round at a local golf course, cuddling her cute cat, Loki, or spending time with her friends and family.
