Dr. Katherine Timlin developed a passion for dentistry in 2003 when she began volunteering and then working as a dental assistant in her hometown of Chicago. She has always had a passion for service and outreach in her community. In dental school she was recognized for developing dental days at local programs for at risk youth and gave time to mentor prospective dental students. Upon graduation, she mentored dental students at University of Texas-San Antonio, and regularly volunteered at a local free clinic. Her favorite part of dentistry is developing relationships with her office and team to better serve her patients through improved speech, eating and confidence that can all be impacted by your smile.
Dr. Timlin studied in New York City and Phoenix. She completed dental school at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Timlin has spent the last three years in family practice and emergency dentistry in Texas and pursing hundreds of hours of additional continuing education in sedation, invisalign, wisdom teeth removal, root canal treatments, and night guards in order to better serve her patients. She is excited to join the team at Colby Family Dentistry and move closer to her family in north Idaho.
When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Timlin also enjoys volunteering in the running community, racing competitively in triathlons and rock climbing. She cannot wait to start exploring all the outdoors has to offer in Seattle for her and her family.
